Hi,
Its my first time to setup my new "cloned" Align Trex 450 SE V2 so I'm not really very familiar with the type of motor to be used or what is this so called speed controller or ESC. the kit comes without any electronics so I need some inputs from you guys to what is the best setup but not to be a pain in the pocket. I've read in one of our posts that scorpion motors and ESC are performing very well.
I'm currently using Hitech Servos (65MG) and the stock motor, ESC and Gyro for my other Trex 450XL. Just crashed (very bad) last Friday  Sad Cry
Thanks in advance.

Eid Mubarak,

Hi Fernie -

Good to hear from you.  We miss you at the field !

The Hitech HS65MG servos are very good.  You can save yourself the pain of stripped servo gears with those.  Slightly expensive, but much better than having to change servo gears every time you crash.

For the Gyro, if your budget permits, go for a Futaba GY401 with a 9650 servo.  For a cheaper option you can go with a Futaba GY201, but the 401 supports remote gain settings etc.  Logictech LTG2100s are also very good gyros. For the tail servo, you can try an HS55, if the 9650 seems expensive.  And if you are just hovering and doing forward flights only, you can go for a cheap Telebee gyro, as the last resort.

The stock Trex SE V2 motors and ESC are pretty good (BL35G ESC and XL motor).

Watch the "Finless" Bob Trex 450 build videos at http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=11373 .  They should answer pretty much all your Trex build questions/concerns.

Just want to ask what is the best servo to combine with my Futaba GY401 for Trex 450? Can we use a Hitech servo for this Gyro?

Thanks & regards,
Fernie

"Best" ?   Wink     JR3400G, Futaba9257 or Futaba9650.

"Hitec" ?  HS-55 and HS-56 with good results for sport flying and below average results for 3D.
