Hi Anwar,
I went for a drive today and managed to find the Hobby shop near the vegetable market, however they are closed until the 28th of february for refurbishments....The other in city centre i have seen before, but where is the third?
I tried typing in the location that you specified above into google earth, but it came up with too many locations? Is it near anymajor landmarks or roundabouts?

Look for the blue placemarker in the annotated map. That is the location of HobbyLand. |

And here is an annotated map to Pro Hobbies. Basically, it is one your right side when you are going the from Vegetable Market roundabout to the Decoration roundabout on Salwa Road. Note that it is NOT on the first building on the side of the road, it is in the building JUST BEHIND that first one. |

I am new to Doha,Qatar. working here on base. i fly a Raptor50. It is in the States but i would love to have it shipped here to fly. any info in helping me get it here would be helpful. e-mail is jeromemundy@yahoo.com. going to graveyard shift but off sat. so i could met on sat morn or sunday morn. i would like to meet some of the guys here. and if possible get my heli shipped here.thanks for info |

Welcome to Doha !
If your Raptor is already assembled fully assembled, having it shipped here without dismatling would prove a costly affair. You might want to try something smaller, either procured locally or ordered online.
We typically fly Friday mornings, but some of us go on Saturdays also. We can plan something for the next weekend.

Do you know any hobby shops in Al Khor. Im working in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Al Khor is the nearest area which i can go within 30mins of travel time unlike Doha which it will take 2-3hrs travel.

In a bit of sad news in terms of diversity, Hobby Centre is closed, and the shop has been taken over by the same folks who own "Pro Hobbies".

Well, there is one more RC store in Qatar. It is in the new Barwa Village complex, between Airforce roundabout and Wakra. The shop name is King Motors, and they have cars, planes helis and boats.
The shop is hard to miss, it is the very first shop in the whole complex. It is visible from the Doha Wakra road itself, and is the first shop on the right side when you enter the complex.
They seem to stock a bunch of Skyartec foam models, with all parts.
Phone number is 44151829, and the contact person is Mr Mohammed.

i've been to that shop .... but my be my luck one of the workers the could not speak any english.. will try my luck another time. aiming for the hpi trophy desert truck selling there |

sent u a pm.....any 2cycle oul will do sir,i am not too familiar here on how they call it,it seems they are not aware what a 2t oil is when i went to alkhor auto shops awhile ago,i am not also sure if i can use the engine oils displayed on teir shelves on my baja...rhanks
